I grew up in Sydney with a musical family & started learning piano & violin
aged 4. We all lived & breathed music through practice, church & performing
at functions, in retirement homes, etc. One of my favourite memories is
coming home from school & sitting down at the piano 'til dinner time, just
playing through book after book. Piano & violin was the focus for about 10
years when I decided I'd had enough, & started moving more into singing
which is what I enjoy most. The communication with your audience is so
beautiful, & I recall a time when I sang two items in a Sydney church where
children were dancing during the first one, then their parents had tears
streaming down their cheeks for the next one. The gift of music is so
powerful, & something that drove me to want to do more & more.
In 1992 Greg & I were married, & God took our music to a whole new level.
We were very blessed to be able to attend the Los Angeles Music Academy
during 1998/1999, & gained such wonderful practical insight in many aspects.
Since then we have continued to play & perform together, honing many of
these new skills, & in 2000 Greg released our first album - "Father Time".
This is a solo acoustic guitar album, comprising 9 original instrumentals, &
we were really excited that this first project went so well.
At the end of 2002 we decided to move out of Sydney, & settled in a loving
little country town in the NSW Northern Rivers. The surroundings are
thoroughly inspirational, & the slower lifestyle has allowed us more time to
work on our music. In May 2004 our first son entered the world, & in June
2007 we were blessed with a second son. Although our beautiful little
cherubs slowed our album progess somewhat, we released "Perspective" at the
end of 2007, & again were very happy with the outcome. This time we
included more of Greg's solo acoustic guitar compositions, along with three
songs, & managed to maintain the 'cruisy' feel desired.
After a grandma requested something suitable for her granddaughter, our next
album "White Picket Fences" was created over the next few years, & we've
just released this in 2010. It's a contemporary, family friendly album
comprising 10 original songs with a lot more instrumentation than the first
two albums. We're even working on the next album already - & that will be
something altogether different again!
So, that's some of our journey so far (in a very small nutshell!), & again,
